Montenegro Holidays - Destination Profile
Montenegro is a Balkan country with a west side stretched along the coast of the Adriatic Sea. Elsewhere, she shares borders with Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo and Albania. She benefits from a Mediterranean climate, having hot, dry summers extending into the autumn months, and comparatively cold winters. Though a relatively small country, Montenegro holidays will satisfy a diversity of interests and have much to offer the curious traveller, from medieval buildings, exotic trees and plants, to friendly locals and traditional towns where quaint cafes can be found. Though not so well known as her neighbour Croatia, where tourism is burgeoning, trips here are nonetheless equally impressive, and still unusual enough to impress your friends with your sense of adventure.
The resort of Becici has a stunning beach with a huge stretch of coarse golden sand backed by imposing mountains. Once an old fishing village, the resort has flourished into a holiday hub with a number of lively cafes to choose from. The charming old town of Budva is a short stroll away where a lively night scene complements Becici's chilled-out, relaxing evening atmosphere.
